Feel like experiencing a bit of Halloween this weekend?
The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center will have a guided tour of Wenatchee area cemeteries from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 4.
The tour includes stops at two locations: the Sunnyslope Cemetery and the Home of Peace Mausoleum.
The mausoleum is rarely visited and is traditionally not open to the public, said Lauren Palmer with the museum.
The Sunnyslope Cemetery will feature historian Fred Pflugrath as a guide, pointing out notable graves and a few chilling tales. Historic preservations expert Kris Bassett will guide a mausoleum tour relating stories of community leaders interred there.
The combined cost for the two tours is $15. Visitors, who must provide their own transportation between the grave sites, will meet at the Sunnyslope facility at School Street and Knowles Road in Wenatchee.
