Kadlec Regional Medical Center celebrates its 70th anniversary with a community event Thursday night at John Dam Plaza in Richland. Patients and staff shared their stories about Kadlec, which opened in 1944 to care for Hanford workers. The U.S. government eventually turned over ownership to the Methodist Church.In 1969, it became a not-for-profit organization. To learn more about Kadlec's anniversary, go to www.kadlec.org/70years.
