Letter: Erosion of rights

The quiz in the Our Voice column was a good choice for the Fourth of July. I was disappointed with question 12's answer, however.

Yes, those powers are directly given to the states, but the 10th amendment states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

To me, this is the most important power. When we forget this amendment, we allow our rights to be eroded as they have been during this last 50 years.
