West Richland — A 28-year-old man is wanted by police for allegedly pulling a knife and threatening to kill another person.
Authorities have probable cause to arrest Christian B. Chavez following the incident Tuesday at a West Richland home.
Police were called to the 4400 block of Chelan Drive after a person reported Chavez pulled the knife, said Chief Brian McElroy. Witnesses told police Chavez was hiding in a residence one block away on South 42nd Place.

Authorities were able to get a hold of Chavez by phone, but he did not tell them where he was, McElroy said. After almost two hours, SWAT members entered the residence and found no one inside.
