Local events made $837,000 for Tri-City businesses

The recent Cool Desert Nights and the River of Fire Festival brought in out-of-town visitors and an estimated $837,000 to Tri-City businesses, according to the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber put on both events in partnership with HAPO Community Credit Union.

The 21st Cool Desert Nights car show, June 19-22, attracted 750 registered vehicles and was attended by more than 20,000 people. The 28th annual River of Fire Festival on July Fourth drew about 10,000 people to Columbia Park.
