Letter: Independence Day?

July 10, 2014

On Independence Day morning, I was enjoying the Test Your Knowledge quiz on the opinion page when I saw one of our rights living here in the United State is "We the People" have the right to bear arms.

There are powers in this county that are aligning to disarm the people. Go to the store and look at the gun cases and you will find a white sticker stuck to the case that reads, "Not Legal in California and w/High Capacity Magazine."

This is just one of the signs in the world that personal freedoms are being challenged. The question that remains is Independence Day changing to Dependence Day under our very noses? Discuss.
