Clayton Madey of West Linn, Ore., defeated Scott Kim of Richland 6-and-5 in the Round of 32 on Wednesday at the 113th Pacific Northwest Golf Association Men’s Amateur Championship at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman.

Kim, a Hanford graduate and senior-to-be at Oregon State, trailed in the match from the start. He only bested Madey on hole No. 5.

In the PNGA Women’s Amateur tournament at the Lewiston Golf & Country Club, Kristin Strankman of Richland beat Hannah Kim of Auburn 5-and-4 in the round of 32. In the round of 16, Dorsey Addicks of Seattle beat Strankman 3-and-2.

Jalayne Martinez of Pasco lost 1-up to Tyler Barker of Caldwell, Idaho, in the round of 32, while Catherine Warner of Kennewick lost 6-and-5 to Cali Hipp of Caldwell.

In the Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Lewiston, Tiffany Buissink of Pasco lost in the round of 16 to Georgia Hutchinson of Sun Valley, Idaho, 7-and-5.

Hockey

Tri-City Americans defensemen Brandon Carlo and Parker Wotherspoon were two of 19 Western Hockey League players named to the NHL Central Scouting’s Futures list for the 2015 NHL Draft.

In 62 games last season, the 6-foot, 170-pound Wotherspoon had two goals, 16 assists and 74 penalty minutes. He was named the Americans’ rookie of the year.

The 6-5, 185-pound Carlo, who played 71 games, had three goals, 10 assists and 66 penalty minutes during his rookie season.

w There’s still time to register for the Tri-City Americans summer hockey schools. The first session runs Aug. 4-8, with the second session Aug. 11-15. Cost is $175 for one session or $275 for both.

The Elite Prospects conditioning camp, for players in bantam rep, U-16, U-18 and junior, will run from Aug. 11-19. Cost is $99.

The adult hockey school will run from Aug. 15-17. Cost is $75.

Rodeo

Tickets for the 26th annual Farm-City Pro Rodeo are on sale online (farmcityprorodeo.com) and at various businesses, including Banner Bank, Pendleton Grain Growers, NW Farm Supply and the Umatilla County Fair office.

Tickets are $15 for general admission and $17 for reserved seating. All box seats are sold out. Your rodeo ticket includes admission to the Umatilla County Fair.

Little League

Richland National defeated Greater Richland 11-3 on Tuesday to force a second game for the District 12 11s title.

Elijah Tanner held Greater Richland to just four hits in 51⁄3 innings. Tanner also had three hits and two RBIs.

Silas Templeton added two hits and three RBIs for RNLL, while Jacob Kump had two hits and drove in two runs.
