Spokane Indians beat Dust Devils 16-4

July 8, 2014

The North Division-leading Spokane Indians were not very hospitable Tuesday night to their Northwest League neighbors to the south.

Andrew Barnett pitched five complete innings, and Luke Tendler, Juremi Profar and Eduard Pinto each drove in three runs as the Indians throttled the Tri-City Dust Devils 16-4 at Avista Stadium.

Spokane jumped out to a 7-1 lead after the first inning, chasing Tri-City starter Ryan Warner, who gave up seven runs on four hits in one-third inning of work.

Jairo Rosario and Josh Fuentes each hit a double for the Dust Devils, while Cesar Galvez went 3-for-5 with an RBI.

Tri-City, which has lost two in a row, will play the second game of the three-game series against Spokane today.
