Badger Mountain Dry Band performs July 19 in Walla Walla

WALLA WALLA -- The Badger Mountain Dry Band kicks off the monthly Direct Current concert series with a performance at 7:30 July 19 at the Gesa Power House Theatre in Walla Walla.

The Tri-City-based bluegrass group uses acoustic instruments to play traditional and popular music, including rock tunes from the Beatles to the Grateful Dead.

The series showcases talent from around the Northwest. Admission is $10 to each concert. Other concerts in the series include Rogue Lobster from Walla Walla on Aug. 16, Channel Cats from Baker City, Ore., on Sept. 27 and Dakota Brown from Pendleton on Oct. 18. Musicians for the Nov. 29 and Dec. 27 concerts have not yet been announced.
