Miss Tri-Cities places in top 5 at state pageant

Miss Tri-Cities Janae Calaway finished as the fourth runner up Saturday evening in the 2014 Miss Washington pageant.

Calaway, the daughter of Courtney and Beverly Calaway of Pasco, made it through both cutdowns during the event at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien.

Miss Spokane Kailee Dunn won the competition.

Calaway had earned $27,000 in scholarship money since winning Miss Tri-Cities, which she plans to use toward a degree in speech pathology at Brigham Young University.
