Update: Basin Disposal takes mayor's award in Pasco Fourth of July parade w/gallery and video

— Pasco’s 26th Annual Grand Old 4th of July Parade had 79 entries Friday.

Basin Disposal, Inc. won the mayor’s choice award, while RDO Equipment took the sweepstakes award.

Pasco Public Schools’ Summer Music Marching Band took honors for drill teams, while the Rascal Rodeo Mounted Group was honored with the equestrian award.

Pacific Northwest Mustang Club took the car clubs award.

UA Local 598 Plumbers & Steamfitters won acclaim for their civic float, while the commercial float award 102.7 KORD.

The Tri-City Adventist School and Small World Learning Center earn the novelty float award.

The Grand Marshal was Congressman Doc Hastings, R-Pasco.
