CBC offering folkloric dance, computer app camps in August

Two free summer camps in folkloric dance and computer apps will be offered at Columbia Basin College in August.

The You Can Code & Design Apps camp is for students interested in designing an app for Android devices using App Inventor, a news release said.

No programming background is required. The middle school program will run Aug. 4-6, while a girls-only camp for high school and CBC students is available Aug. 11-13. Lunch will be provided.

The folkloric dance camp will be from Aug. 18-22 and will cover culture and dance from throughout the Americas. It is for students ages 9 to 13, with space limited to 20 students.
