Congressional candidate George Cicotte to hold open house Thursday in Kennewick

Congressional candidate George Cicotte is playing host to a public open house at 7 Thursdayat the Mid-Columbia Libraries Kennewick branch, 1620 S. Union St.

Cicotte, a Kennewick health care and retirement attorney, will hand out copies of his "Contract with Eastern Washington," a series of 10 bills he plans to bring forward if elected. Refreshments will be provided.

Cicotte plans other events around the Central Washington district represented by the retiring Rep. Doc Hastings, R-Pasco, according to a news release.

Cicotte is one of eight Republicans seeking to replace Hastings. Two Democrats and two Independents also are running.
