KID has begun treating canals for aquatic weeds

Tri-City HeraldJuly 1, 2014

The Kennewick Irrigation District began treating canals for aquatic weed control on Tuesday.

KID customers can expect higher than normal debris loads in their filters in the next few weeks because of the treatment. Not all of the weeds are caught by the coarse filtration screens in KID’s system.

Customers should check filters more frequently for the next few weeks.
