Edmonds wins 18U NSA softball title

The Edmonds Starz edged the Washington Hurricanes 8-7 in the 18U championship game Sunday at the NSA State Girls Softball Tournament at TRAC in Pasco.

In 16A play, the Montesano Bulldogs blanked the PA Illusion 6-0 for the state title.

In 16B play, the Federal Way Lady Knights outslugged the Lakesiders 15-11 to win the championship.

In the 14A division, the Snohomish County Express had to come back through the losers’ bracket and beat the Snohomish Swat 00 twice, 12-8 and 8-7, to win the state title.

In the 14B tournament, Ellensburg Synergy beat the Spokane Mudhens for the title.

In the 12A tournament, the Northwest Speed 01 beat Northwest Speed 02 by a 9-0 score in the championship.

In the 12B tourney, the Snohomish Shock defeated the Montesano Bulldogs 10-0 for the title.

In the 10A tourney, the Acers shut out the Northwest Speed 03 by a 12-0 score to win the state title.

In the 10B tournament, the Fury beat the Snohomish County Express 04 3-0 to win the championship.
