NSA state softball tournament ends Sunday

The Edmonds Starz beat the Canes 9-4 in one winners’ bracket semifinal in the 18U division at the NSA State Girls Softball Tournament on Saturday at TRAC in Pasco.

Edmonds will play the North Stars, who beat the Washington Hurricanes 7-6 in the other semifinal, in the winners bracket final at noon today at TRAC. The tournament championship is set for 3:30 p.m. at the same complex.

In the 16A division, the PA Illusion and the Montesano Bulldogs are the two remaining unbeaten teams. They meet at 10 a.m. today, and the tournament championship is set for 2 p.m. at TRAC.

In 16B play, the SFC Storm, Camas Storm, Lady Knights and Troi-City Thunder were playing Saturday night in the winners’ bracket semifinals at Lawrence Scott Park. Today’s championship is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Scott Park.

In the 14A tournament, two teams from Snohomish are unbeaten. The Snohomish Swat 00 will play the Snohomish County Express at 10 a.m. today at Lawrence Scott Park in the winners’ bracket final. The title game is set for 2 p.m.

In the 14B tournament, Ellensburg Syner is 4-0 and will meet either the Lady Bulldogs or Gig Harbor Xpress at noon today at Columbia Playfield in the winners’ bracket final.

The championship is set for 3:30 p.m.

In the 12A tournament, Northwest Speed 02 will play Northwest Speed 01 in the battle of the unbeatens at 10 a.m. at Southridge Athletic Complex. The championship is set for 2 p.m.

In the 12B tourney, the Fury and Snohomish Shock meet at noon at Southridge in the winners’ bracket final. The title tilt is set for 3:30 p.m.

In the 10A tourney, the Acers are in today’s 2 p.m. championship at TRAC, awaiting one of four teams left in the loser’s bracket.

In the 10B tournament, the Fury will play the Snohomish County Express 04 at 8 a.m. today at TRAC in the winners’ bracket final. The title tilt is set for 2 p.m.
