Social Security workshop for women planned in Kennewick

There will be an educational workshop titled "Savvy Social Security Planning for Women" from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennewick Library, 1620 S. Union St.

Guests are required to RSVP, but admission is free. Women will learn about the following:

-- How much Social Security to expect on retirement, and how decisions made now can affect future income;

-- Why to consider coordinating spousal benefits, survivor benefits, divorced-spouse benefits and divorced-spouse survivor benefits;

-- What to do after the death of a spouse;

-- Planning for a long life.
