Letter: Put God in schools

June 28, 2014

It is indeed tragic that "Firearms violence at U.S. schools continues growth" (Herald, June 12).

Let us not forget that we expelled God and his word from our public schools many years ago. Could it be that we are reaping the bitter fruit of treating God's word as though it is contraband?

It ought to be clear to us that the religion of humanism is a woefully inadequate replacement for the precepts and protection of almighty God.
