Car wash today in Kennewick to aid Safe Harbor programs

KENNEWICK -- A car wash to benefit the Safe Harbor Support Center is planned from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the center, 1111 N. Grant Place, Kennewick.

The center works to prevent child abuse and neglect by providing a safe environment for children and teens.

The Arc's soap box derby planned today

The Kiwanis Club of Richland is partnering with The Arc of Tri-Cities to hold a Challenge Soap Box Derby from 9 a.m. to noon today at the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Wellsian Way.

Children are invited to come and test their driving skills in a safe, fun and non-competitive environment in two-seat derby cars donated by Leo Finnigan of Life Enrichments Options. The event is free.
