KID water to be restored after canal breach

Tri-City HeraldJune 25, 2014

The Kennewick Irrigation District customers can expect to have their irrigation water fully restored later this week.

The district had a canal breach Saturday near Game Farm Road and Oak Street. Irrigation water was turned off Saturday night, affecting about 4,500 customers.

Contractors have been working 24 hours a day with KID's crew to get the repairs completed as quickly as possible. Unforeseen complications with the repairs means the canal will be refilled by 6 p.m. Friday, with normal operations resuming Saturday.
