East wins Earl Barden Classic

June 21, 2014 

JT Phelan of East Valley-Spokane caught two touchdown passes for the East, which went on to defeat the West 27-12 at the 20th Earl Barden All-Star Classic at East Valley High School in Yakima.

Phelan was named the East’s offensive MVP, while Chelan’s Asa Schwartz was the East defensive MVP.

Renton’s Ernie Davis was named the West offensive MVP, while Morton/White Pass’ Ben Powell was defensive MVP for the West.

Playing for the East team were River View’s Terran Brown and Alonso Mendoza, Royal’s Collin Christensen, Connell’s Mac Hopkins, and Lind-Ritzville’s Dylan Hartz and Tyler Frederick.
