Kennewick man arrested in connection with stabbing

A 38-year-old Kennewick man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing early Saturday.

Alejandro Villanueva Garcia was placed on a 72-hour investigative hold in connection with first-degree assault, Kennewick police reported.

He allegedly stabbed Jorge Calderon multiple times, police said. Calderon, 30, of Kennewick, was taken to Trios Health, police said.

The incident happened about 1:35 a.m. on the 4800 block of West Clearwater Avenue.
