Benton County gets new public works director

Tri-City HeraldJune 18, 2014

Benton County has a new public works director. Dan Ford, the county engineer, has taken on responsibility for the department, the county administrator confirmed this week.

Ford became the county's engineer in late 2012, selected from a pool of 19 applicants. He started his engineering career with the county as a draftsman before going to work for a private company and the city of Yakima.

He replaces Steve Becken, the former public works manager, who resigned effective June 6.
