Pasco man taken to hospital after single-vehicle accident

MATTAWA -- A Pasco man was injured Wednesday morning when the Toyota Camry he was driving rolled into a ditch off Highway 243 south of Mattawa, the Washington State Patrol said.

Joel Valdovines, 35, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland and was later listed in satisfactory condition.

Valdovines was driving north on the highway when the car went off the road and rolled into the ditch, the state patrol said. The Camry was totaled and towed from the scene.

Valdovines was wearing a seat belt, state patrol said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
