Dust Devils fall to Boise 12-3

Tri-City Dust Devils pitchers gave up five home runs en route to a 12-3 Northwest League loss to the host Boise Hawks on Tuesday afternoon.

The loss drops Tri-City to 1-4, while Boise is 5-1.

The Dust Devils open an eight-game homestand at Gesa Stadium in Pasco beginning today against the Everett AquaSox. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.

Kyle Schwarber had two home runs for the Hawks, including a solo shot in a four-run first inning that gave Boise the lead from the start.

Cesar Galvez, Dillon Thomas and Drew Weeks each had two hits for the Dust Devils.

Boise’s Trevor Graham pitched five innings to earn the victory, as he struck out seven and scattered four hits.

Blake Shouse took the loss for Tri-City, as he last just two-thirds of an inning.

Dust Devils reliever William Waltrip had a quality appearance, pitching two innings and fanning three.
