Hogs and Dogs kicks off the annual Cool Desert Nights event June 19 in West Richland.

About 4,000 motorcycles are expected to show up for the event, plus a few thousand more gawkers who love drooling over the cool bikes.

The fun starts at 4 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. at the Bombing Range Sports Complex, 3200 Bombing Range Road in West Richland. Admission is free.

Bring the kids because Hogs and Dogs is a family-friendly event. There will be bounce houses, face painting and other fun stuff for kids to do, said Matt Nash of the West Richland Chamber of Commerce.

And if you buy a $10 ticket, you might win a brand new Victory Judge motorcycle.

The dogs sell for $4 or $7 and include chips and a beverage. Slices of Papa John's pizza also will be for sale at the same prices. And with each hot dog sold, there's a chance to win $100.

Tri-City rock band Colorblind will provide the live music for the event. The band will start playing about 6 p.m.
