Amon Natural Preserve: We can do something

June 16, 2014

There is a lot of talk and concern about the condition of the earth, about the damage we, as a species, thoughtlessly inflict upon our environment. Some of those issues seem huge and beyond our control. But here is our chance. Here, in a little corner of Eastern Washington, USA, we can choose to protect the beautiful and the rare.

Let's not extend Rachel Road to cut across the Amon Basin Natural Preserve.

This is not in my backyard, you say. As a local citizen, all of Richland is my backyard. I have lived here almost all my long life. My family has grown up appreciating the waterways and trails to hike, ride and discover. Let others do the same and rediscover the wonders of this little corner of the world.
