Hanford High grad named Miss Juneteenth

Rachel Moore, an 18-year-old Hanford High grad, was crowned Miss Juneteenth 2014 on Saturday in the Gregson Auditorium at Pasco High School.

She is the daughter of Monica and Ronnie Moore of West Richland.

Alexzondria Montgomery, a 15-year-old student at Pasco High, was named First Princess.

Her parents are Charles and Andrea Montgomery of Pasco.

Natajiauna Sparks, also a 15-year old Pasco High student, is Second Princesses and also received the Hostess Award.

She is the daughter of Marlando and Quontica Sparks of Pasco.

Yaye Sidibe, 17, who attends Kamiakin High in Kennewick, was named Third Princess and Miss Congeniality and also received the Academic Achievement Award.

She is the daughter of Dielika Kone of Kennewick and Mamadou Sidibe of Mali, West Africa.

Dina Gebretatios, a 15-year-old Hanford High student, won the Talent Award.

She played a flute rendition of Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up.

Her parents are Rahel Sebsibie and Fitsum Gebretatios of Richland.
