The Pasco City Council met with four city manager candidates Thursday, but has yet to reach a consensus on one of them, Mayor Matt Watkins said.
The council is likely to discuss the candidates further at its regular Monday meeting, Watkins said.
The council interviewed the candidates in closed session all day Thursday.
The candidates also met with a group of community stakeholders the day after a reception for all residents at the Red Lion Hotel.
The process was inclusive, Watkins said.
"I'm glad we went as broadly as we did to involve the community," he said. "I think it's going to help us when we do make some choices."
Former North Las Vegas City Manager Tim Hacker, Battle Ground City Manager John Williams, Fife City Manager Dave Zabell and Flathead County (Mont.) Administrator Michael Pence are the remaining candidates after former Rancho Mirage, Calif., official Scott Morgan withdrew from consideration.
The candidates are seeking to replace City Manager Gary Crutchfield, who is retiring June 27 after leading Pasco's government for 30 years.
Deputy City Manager Stan Strebel is expected to be named as interim replacement for Crutchfield until the new manager starts.
