Letter: Driven to gratitude

June 11, 2014

As the school year comes to an end, I would like to thank all of the people who keep our children safe. My daughter's bus driver Antonio has had a huge effect on her.

He goes above and beyond the duties of safely transporting children to school. His genuine caring for the kids under his supervision is extraordinary, and his kindness does not go unnoticed.

Hearing about him cheering up a child who may have had a bad day is always heartwarming. He looks after the kids as if they were his own, making sure they are happy and ready to learn.

Words cannot describe how comforting it is to know that he is the face my daughter sees before she walks into the school. I know his smile helps her have a great day. Thank you, Antonio.
