Traffic delays planned on Snoqualmie Pass

Tri-City HeraldJune 6, 2014

Drivers may have to adjust plans for going through Snoqualmie Pass next week, the state Department of Transportation said.

Rock blasting will close Interstate 90 east of the pass for an hour Monday 6/9 through Thursday 6/12. During rock blasting closures, eastbound drivers will be stopped at Gold Creek and westbound drivers will be stopped at Price Creek.

Multiple lanes will also be closed the rest of each night Monday through Friday from Denny Creek to the Hyak vicinity. Daytime delays could also be caused because of single lane closures in the same location.

Intermittent rolling slowdowns are planned Monday through Friday during the day three miles east of the Snoqualmie Pass Summit around Keechelus Lake. Drivers can get information at 1610 AM and 530 AM or check @snoqualmiepass on Twitter.
