Letter: Treat vets right

June 5, 2014

It seems that political leaders in our great country do not deem it necessary to fulfill promises made to our military. It has been happening for years. Now we find that mistreatment of our veterans has risen to new heights. Vets are being denied benefits promised to them, and many are dying. What a disgrace.

Promises, promises. Enough with the promises and just do the right thing for them. And to the present administration, stop cutting the measly few benefits the vets have, and stop reducing the size of our military to record low numbers. You may find out we need them. Let us take care of our military.
