Letter: Help from many

June 4, 2014

Seven years ago, I came to Kennewick to live with my grandparents.

I attended Canyon View Elementary School, Park Middle School, and next year I will attend Kennewick High School. I want to thank my teachers, principals and community leaders for their contributions to my education and personal life.

When I first came, I was struggling in my work. Thanks to the effort of many people in my behalf, I've been an honor student for five years.

I am grateful to the community for its contribution to the youth in our communities. There are many programs that help to keep youth out of trouble. Merchants offer movies and bowling free during the summer. The park and recreation departments have many programs as do the Boys & Girls Club and YMCA. Boys and Girl Scouts offer valuable training. These programs will help prepare our future leaders of tomorrow.

I am thankful for my church family and my grandparents. We indeed have a great community to live in.
