Walla Walla man sentenced to 25 years in sex abuse case

Tri-City HeraldJune 4, 2014

— A Walla Walla man will spend at least the next 25 years locked up after he was sentenced for sexually abusing a Pendleton child.

Jason Dean Green, 28, pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and first-degree luring in connection with the abuse of a 6-year-old girl, said Daniel Primus, Umatilla County District Attorney.

He was sentenced to 25 years, without the possibility of early release, after entering his plea.

The abuse was first reported to Pendleton police in November, though Green initially denied the allegations, Primus said. Green was eventually arrested in Walla Walla in March and indicted by a grand jury a week later.

Green will be on lifetime post-prison supervision if he is released.
