Tri-City HeraldJune 4, 2014

— A man wielding a machete held up a Pasco convenience store and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police are investigating whether the suspect is connected to a robbery at the King City convenience store in Pasco on May 11th, said Capt. Jim Raymond. A masked man with a machete got away with cash from the store.

Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, the suspect came into Sky Market at 20th Avenue and Sylvester Street and demanded money from the clerk, Raymond said. He ran from the store and may have gotten into a nearby vehicle.

No injuries were reported and officers used police dogs to search the area.

The suspect was wearing a bandana over his face, a dark colored jacket with white sleeves and a hood, and dark pants with three white stripes down the legs, Raymond said. He is described as being medium build and medium height.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Pasco police at 509-545-3510.
