World Oceans Day set June 7 in Oregon

The Oregon Coast Aquarium will pay homage to Earth with its World Oceans Day on June 7 at the Newport facility.

The international celebration is held each year to elevate awareness and promote stewardship of the world's oceans.

Visitors will learn how they can help the ocean in their daily lives, regardless of how near or far they live from the sea. The hours for the event are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is $19.95 for ages 18 to 64, $17.95 for ages 13 to 17 and for ages 65 and older, $12.95 for ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and younger.
