Summer hours in effect at Portland's Oregon Zoo

The Oregon Zoo summer hours are in effect at the Portland-area animal kingdom. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through the summer.

The zoo is five minutes from downtown Portland, off Highway 26. The city's Max rail line also stops at the zoo, and those who travel the Max receive a $1.50 discount on zoo admission.

General admission is $11.50 for ages 12 to 64, $10 for ages 65 and older, $8.50 for ages 3 to 11 and free for ages 2 and younger. More information is at www.oregonzoo.org or call 503-226-1561.
