World Relief fundraiser tonight in Kennewick

By The Tri-City HeraldMay 29, 2014

A concert and silent auction to raise money for World Relief starts at 7 p.m. today at Kennewick First Presbyterian Church, 2001 W. Kennewick Ave.

The organization, which has an office in Richland, helps resettle refugees who've fled persecution in their native countries. The refugees are invited by the U.S. government.

The concert is free but donations will be accepted. Refugees will speak and share their artistic talents, and a variety of cultural foods and refreshments will be served, a news release said.

Information also will be provided on volunteering with the organization.

Tri-City Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point.
