Sewer pipe work to close road in Kennewick

James Lokken an employee of Culbert Construction in Pasco, moves on Wednesday a piece of 36-inch diameter sewer pipe on East First Avenue at Beech Street in Kennewick. The road will be closed until Friday afternoon between Washington Street and Highway 397.

East First Avenue will be closed until Friday afternoon between Washington Street and Highway 397 (Chemical Drive) in Kennewick as part of a project to replace the sewer pipe.

The work us part of a $1.5 million city project to replace the line.

The project is to be completed in September.
