Letter: RHS vending choices

May 25, 2014

As a senior at Richland High I have seen many changes in the last three years. But this year something very subtle changed. It started with the regular Coke products being switched to diet, slowly changing to vending machines full on diet sodas.

The main ingredient that makes a Diet Coke is aspartame. Soft drink companies tell you differently, but this chemical can cause vision problems and birth defects. As a high school student, I feel as though we should have our own choice on what we want to choose.
