— Five people, including three juveniles, were injured late Saturday in a two-vehicle crash near Factory Road in Sunnyside.

Alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash, which happened after a Sunnyside man in a pickup truck ran a stop sign around 11:45 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

Gilberto Vargas Sadina, 26, failed to stop at the intersection of Factory Road and Highway 241, state patrol said. The Dodge Ram he was driving hit a minivan carrying six people.

Both of the vehicles rolled during the collision.

Five passengers in the van were injured and taken to either Prosser Memorial Hospital or Sunnyside Community Hospital, state patrol said. The passengers, all from Longview, ranged in age from 36 to 5-years-old.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
