Mostly sunny skies forecast for Tri-Cities on long weekend

— The weather should improve Saturday in the Tri-Cities for the start of Memorial Day weekend.

Today the National Weather Service is predicting a small chance of showers and a west wind of 13 to 18 mph with gusts up to 29 mph in the Tri-Cities.

The high should be about 84 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to cool slightly Saturday, with a high of about 79 degrees, under clear skies.

Sunday there should be some sunshine breaking through a cloudy sky and the high should be around 81 degrees. Light winds could persist through at least Sunday.

Memorial Day should be mostly sunny with a high of 78 degrees.
