SUV hits, injures pedestrian in Pasco street

— A woman was hit by a sports utility vehicle Wednesday morning as it turned onto West Lewis Street in Pasco, according to fire officials.

The woman, who is in her mid-30s, may have been in a crosswalk near Lewis and Road 28 when she was hit, officials said. She appeared to have minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The driver stayed on scene and was contacted by police. Pasco police did not release any information about the incident.

Officials did not release the woman’s name and her condition was not immediately available.
