Southridge softball grabs No. 4 seed to Class 3A regionals

Sarah Gilliam picked up the win in the circle and went 3-for-3 with a triple, a three-run home run and six RBIs to lift Southridge to a 21-4 home win over Sunnyside in a Class 3A sub-regional play-in game.

Southridge earned the No. 4 seed to the District 5/8 sub-regional playoffs and will travel to Spokane today to face Shadle Park at 4 p.m.

Brittney Yocom and Julianne Hammond combined for four hits and five RBIs for the Suns.
