Fire in south Richland damages condominium

Firefighters from around the Tri-Cities respond to extinguish a fire at the Quailwood IV Condominiums on Gage Boulevard in Richland. Eastbound lanes of the busy road were closed while firefighters were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.


A Richland condominium was damaged Monday morning when a fire started in a four-plex at Quailwood IV Condominiums on the 200 block of Gage Boulevard.

The eastbound lanes of Gage were closed for a time while crews fought the 10:30 a.m. blaze in the wall of the home.

The cause is under investigation, said Richland fire Battalion Chief James Hempstead.

Firefigthers from Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, Hanford, Benton Fire 1 and 4 responded to help.
