A 5K Neon Vibe race, where runners or walkers are decked out in neon paint, starts at 8:30 p.m. May 23 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

The night time run is open to all ages and is family-friendly.

"The Neon Vibe is the most epic color festival and night time 5K on the planet," said Tijs Sirrine, a spokesman for the event, which is based out of Utah. "It is the original color run that brings fun to after dark fluorescent with glow lights in neon colors."

The race is not timed, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Children's Miracle Network hospitals.
