Kayla Andrews pitched five strong innings, and Abby Perryman hit a three-run, walk-off home run as Richland High drubbed Walla Walla 15-3 on Saturday to win the Class 4A District 5 title at Chiawana in Pasco.
Andrews allowed just one earned run while walking one and striking out eight. She was also 2-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs at the plate, as the Bombers advanced to next weekends District 5/8 tournament against the Greater Spokane League.
Richland High will face Central Valley at 3 p.m. at University High in Spokane with a state berth on the line. Walla Walla will play Lewis & Clark at 3 p.m. in an elimination game. The loser of the Richland game will face the winner of the Walla Walla game for the other state berth.
The Blue Devils jumped out to a 2-1 lead thanks to a pair of RBIs by Kate Ferenz, but Richland scored nine runs in the fourth to take command of the game.
April Utecht also hit a solo home run and drove in two, while Reilly Bramlett drove in a pair as well.

Kamiakin sweeps: The Braves defeated Battle Ground 9-5 and Camas 10-6 in a pair of nonconference road games against Class 4A schools.
Emily Benson had six hits, including a pair of doubles, and Hunter Schneitter blasted a homer against Battle Ground.
Camas is the top team in the Greater St. Helens League, while Battle Ground is the No. 3 team.

Warden 10-15, Cle Elum/Roslyn 1-8: In a preview of next weeks Class 1A District 5 tournament, Aaliyah Enriquez struck out a total of 25 batters and Allycia Gonzales was a combined 5-for-6 with a double and a home run as the Cougars swept the host Warriors.
The two teams will meet in the first round of the district tournament Thursday in Warden.
