Ki-Be students protest against recent staffing changes

May 13, 2014

— About 50 Kiona-Benton City students walked out of school Tuesday to protest recent staffing changes by the Kiona-Benton City School Board, including moving high school Principal Wayne Barrett, who was on paid administrative leave, into the district office and the transfer of coach Holly Graham from the girls wrestling team to the middle school team.

The students said they want more communication from the board.

Some carried signs reading, "Bring back Holly," "Retaliation strikes again. Bring back Holly" and "#KiBeSTOP."

The protest started at 7:30 a.m.
