Habitat for Humanity Tri-Cities seeks teams for Spring IMPACT Day

Tri-City HeraldMay 8, 2014

Habitat for Humanity Tri-Cities will hold its third annual Spring IMPACT Day on May 17 and is seeking volunteers.

This twice-yearly event utilizes Habitat volunteer teams to provide one-day home repair projects for qualifying low-income homeowners, with special focus on helping the elderly, disabled, veterans and single parent households.

Projects include yard cleanup, fence repairs, inside and outside painting and construction of wheelchair ramps.

Volunteer work crews are made up of church, corporate, and special interest teams from around the community, though individual volunteers are welcome to sign up as well.

This spring, 10 to 15 projects will be chosen. Team leads will begin preparation planning six weeks prior.

Interested volunteer teams should email ccarter@habitat-tcp.org or call 943-5555 ext. 207.
