Tri-City HeraldMay 4, 2014

A Kennewick woman was injured in a Sunday afternoon collision on the blue bridge.

Katrina M. Bernal, 25, of Kennewick, was driving northbound, toward Pasco, at 3:19 p.m., when she braked for slowing traffic, according to a Washington State Patrol news release. A 1992 Honda Accord driven by Kaitee J. Mixon, 23, of Kennewick, then struck Bernal’s car, WSP said.

Bernal was taken by ambulance to Trios Health in Kennewick, where she was treated and released.

Mixon was not injured, WSP said.

Mixon was cited for following too close, WSP said.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, WSP said.
